I am still at the same job and I am still in school. The latter turned out better than I expected. I actually pulled off all A's this past semester and i didn't skip any of my classes. I do believe there is hope for me yet.
The downside to all of this is that I do not have the fundage to participate in more classes. This semester I was only able to sign up for one class. Digital Imaging II. Should be fun. I love photoshop.
Nothing too excited has happened in the last 5 months. I'm just truckin' along everyday doing what I have to. I can say though that I now feel like I have a purpose as the promotional director and street team leader for a Dallas local band called miser. shameless plug in 3..2..1...myspace.com/miserband or miserland.com
I was labeled the street team leader for this band almost a year ago, and up until now I was failing miserably. I couldn't even get the local miser fans to commit to helping, not to mention even just joining the Message board I made. Now, with their popularity rising things are starting to roll. albeit slowly, but rolling. (the rock has always been there)
Soon people will be able to get missions and promotional items from me and I'll be getting paid. money is so good....when you have it.
I'm excited about February 21st. "why?" you might be asking yourself...well I'll tell you. No I am not going to a dresden dolls show... which REALLY sucks. I WILL get to one dammit. ahem...where was i? oh yeah. I'm going to see Cobra Starship. I haven't been to a show in so long I'm dying to go to this one. even though with all the MTV exposure this band has been getting all the pre teens who love to scream "Gabe have my babies!" when they've barely reached puberty, and dress trampier than hookers on harry hines blvd are going to be there in a scarily high number.
what else can I meaniglessly ramble on about....
Oh, Cherry Chocolate Dr. Pepper.... yum.
don't buy $2.99 high heels from charlotte russe no matter how cute they are. There's a reason they are so cheap and STILL in the store.
ok, i'm tired and bored. I will kindly leave this post at what it is and say goodnight.
maybe something interesting will happen and i will blog more frequently. if not, see you in 5 months.

School's not out forever
that's what i'm thinking about as i sit here and hear that famous alice cooper song, well verse, on repeat in my head. you know the one, i don't want to state the name as it will most likely get stuck in your head as it has mine.
school starts again in 7 days. i'm kind of looking forward to it. it will change the monotony that has been the last 3 months at work. i'm sure once i get about 1/4 of the way in i will be saying the same thing about school.
it's a little strange going back this time around. i have changed my major, tossed the previous 2 years out the window and started new. to hell with being a teacher. i do that everyday in conversation. i'm going to be a graphics designer, heavy on the art part of it. i love art. i just love creating. i don't care usually what i do, photoshop, drawing, painting, writing, designing shirts, making purses... anything. i love it all.
i just wish it hadn't taken this long for the light to go off in my head and say "helloooo cassie, you LOVE doing this shit, why not do it for a living...?" sometimes i feel like i prove true all the blonde jokes out there.
woohoo.
personally though i don't think i am exceptionally great at drawing and painting etc. it looks well enough but i've seen some people with no training, like myself, who should have galleries in NYC or be displayed in magazines or museums. i draw well enough for you to say "oh that's cool i can tell what that is." but nothing i do will gain me a place in a gallery. (unless i decide to paint squiggles on a canvas with my tongue or something, stanger things have happened.)
well i would keep on writing, but it's getting late and i must make my apperance in the fucking corporate world in a few hours. joy.
you can just hear the happiness oooozing out of my head huh?
night.
